Fabric Shell fabric must perform a number of roles; keep the fill in the bag, allow body generated moisture to get out and in damp conditions, it needs to keep external moisture out. One Planet uses two great fabrics to achieve these goals.
In our Alpine and Tramping series we use EPIC by Nextec® fabric to protect the fill in the bags from external moisture. Epic® fabric is a technical shell fabric which has a very high water resistance whilst maintaining excellent breathability. (V2) Vapour Vent fabric has been developed for use in high lofting down sleeping bags. It is a densely woven cloth which needs minimal treatment to make it down proof. This lack of coatings allows body vapour to vent through the fabric more effectively, reducing moisture build up in the down. This allows the down to loft to its full potential, ensuring a warm and comfortable nights sleep. We use three weights of the V2 fabric; V2 30 denier, used in all except the Ultra series which uses V2 15 denier and our Booster bags use V2 40 Denier. A non down proof version of the V2-30 is used in our synthetic range.

All One Planet sleeping bags use YKK zips. If you buy two sleeping bags, any left and right zip configuration will zip together (except the Ultra series). Please note it is a common misconception that two bags joined together will increase the warmth / insulation. |

It is a good idea to hop into a sleeping bag before you buy, shoulder width and sleeping positions can impact on the selection of a suitable size.

The down fill in the sleeping bags is held in position by a series of baffles. Without these the down would move from the high points to the lower points when the bag is in use, causing cold spots to develop. One Planet baffles are made from Baffletex which is an air permeable knit fabric which stretches under stress to prevent damage from tearing. |
